Wheel of the Year: Imbolc

Imbolc Online Gathering: Honoring the Returning Light

Join us online to celebrate Imbolc, the Winter Midpoint, midway between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. The days are slowly and surely becoming longer and longer, though Winter is still in full swing. Transformation is slowly taking place, even if we can’t see it or have trouble believing it. How can we be patient with things as they are now, with the time they take? Can we be present to Winter as it is, while also understanding that Spring will be upon us soon enough?

This time of year invites us to reflect: What is it like for us to settle into the Winter? Are we resting, bearing through, or planning? What will we be planting in our gardens this year, literally or figuratively? Which seeds do we wish to nurture, sprout, and plant when the warmer weather comes?

In this virtual Wheel of the Year gathering, we’ll explore the themes of Imbolc: creativity, purification, hope, and new beginnings. Join us as we offer a short meditation, community building, gentle reflection, seasonal teachings, and simple ritual. Rooted in earth-honoring traditions, this gathering is designed to be accessible, meaningful, and welcoming to all, whether you are new to the Wheel of the Year or have been walking this path for many seasons.
