April News from The Witch’s Therapist
Hello, fellow witches, Megan here!
As I write this, the Sun has just moved into Aries, and I am honoring the exalted Sun. As an Aries myself, I relish in the energy of new beginnings, fresh starts, and bold leaps forward. Yet, the approaching New Moon is no ordinary one—it is a Solar Eclipse, marking the final eclipse in the Aries-Libra cycle until October 2032. Wherever Aries falls in your chart, this is the last great shakedown in that area of your life.
And yet, with Venus and Mercury still lingering in retrograde, we may feel the pull of the past even as we long to move forward. There is still work to be done in the Piscean underworld. I encourage you to pay close attention to your dreams, inspirations, and visions—something is stirring deep within, taking root in the fertile soil of your inner world.
The medicine of this time is beautifully captured by the Ace and Seven of Pentacles: planting seeds and cultivating the patience to let them grow. We stand at the threshold of a new era, with Neptune and Saturn beginning their slow shift into Aries this year. And yet, Pisces still asks us to release, to grieve, to dissolve what no longer serves before we step fully into what’s next.
This is the work of Temperance—the blending of fire and water within a Hermit-themed year. How do we stay committed to our rituals and inner wisdom, holding vigilance without tipping into hypervigilance? Alchemy reminds us: sometimes, the work is in the watching.
A Book for These Times
For those delving into dreamwork, I highly recommend The Book of Symbols: Reflections on Archetypal Images by Taschen, edited by Ami Ronnberg and Kathleen Martin. Though on the pricier side, used copies can often be found in local bookstores. This beautifully crafted volume explores archetypal imagery across history, mythology, and alchemy—an invaluable resource for those drawn to the language of symbols. I often sit with this book after a vivid dream, letting its insights deepen my understanding of the images that arise.
Tarot for the Eclipse
For this New Moon Eclipse, I turned to my first tarot deck—The Wild Unknown by Kim Krans—which feels fitting for Aries season and the transformative portal we’re collectively moving through. The card I pulled: Six of Swords. This card speaks to tending to oneself when the mind struggles to grasp the “why” of life. Sometimes, we aren’t meant to understand—we are meant to feel, to experience, to respond. As Kim Krans writes:
"The Six of Swords is a card indicating a recovery from difficult times. Hope is on the horizon; things will get better. It’s important to rest, revitalize, and surround yourself with joyful friends."
Wise words indeed.
Inviting Aries Energy
I invite you to connect with Aries—its raw instinct, its animal body, its unwavering movement forward. Tune into your senses: does your environment smell, sound, taste, feel, and look good to you? It’s time to clear out our wolf dens, to make space for what’s next.
If you need inspiration, I recommend listening to Cosmo Sheldrake’s “Wake Up Calls” or Alice Coltrane’s “Transcendence”—let their sounds stir something new within you.
Work Updates
Has the Aries solar eclipse ushered in a sacred and fiery rebirth? Megan, Santyna, Aisha and Aarushi are all here to help. This last eclipse was a portal into a new cycle of evolution which can be hard to navigate. If you are being asked to do this work, to transmute your wounds, fears, or maybe to bring forth your gifts, cultivating courage and persistence, the witches here have space for you.
Mx. Justine Barre, our in-house sex educator and intimacy coach had her last workshop sell out FAST. But don't worry, she has space for new clients (and some reduced rate openings for those that need it). Also Venus is in retrograde until April 12th so if you are struggling with all things relationship and sexuality, Justine's the perfect person to support you.
Maggie is busy working on a course on Magical Activism and the next Ketamine Healing Retreat. She hopes to be able to annouce more details in next month's newsletter.
