The Witch’s Therapist Corn Moon Newsletter
Hi witches,
I’m Tammy Lynne, the newest team member and heart joining The Witch’s Therapist, our holistic psychotherapist in London Ontario collective.
I’m a psychotherapist and reiki practitioner.
But beyond that, I am also a mom, a circle-keeper, a lover of cold lake dips at sunrise, a stained glass teacher and someone who has always found healing in nature, ritual, and community.
My path weaves together psychotherapy and spirit.
I bring in tools from both modern therapy and ancient practices so we can remember ourselves whole.
I’m so grateful you’re here with me at the beginning of this new offering, as I weave myself into this community and share my relationship with water.
The ways it flows through ritual, ceremony, and healing.
Again and again, in moments of grief, confusion, or when emotions have run deep, I’ve found myself drawn to water.

Sometimes I didn’t even know how I arrived at the riverbank or lakeshore, only that I was there.
Tears falling, body remembering.
But our tears aren’t weakness.
They’re medicine.
Our tears are saltwater returning to saltwater, joining the rivers, lakes, and oceans that carry the memory of life itself.
Tears cleanse.
They protect.
They connect.
They remind us that our inner waters are part of the great waters of the Earth, and that every time we cry, we are already in ceremony.
Ritual Invitations
Water is both mirror and medicine.
It can soothe the nervous system, invite emotional clarity, and offer us a way back to presence through purification.
When we combine water with gratitude, it becomes a powerful tool for healing, release, and renewal.
Morning Cold Dips in Lake Ontario
For those who feel called, beginning the day with a cold plunge can be deeply regulating for the nervous system.
Most mornings, I immerse myself in the waters of Lake Ontario, letting the cold hold me while I breathe in gratitude.
Gratitude for this body, for resilience, for the gift of a new day.
At times I feel called to scream, cry, shake, laugh or be in stillness.
This practice feels like somatic embodiment, inviting full-body awareness and presence.
When the water is bitterly cold in winter, it becomes a powerful reminder of impermanence and resilience.
As I dive in, I find myself in awe and gratitude for my body’s capacity to endure, heal, and fully come alive in each moment.

Morning Water Gratitude
Each morning offers us a chance to begin again, and water is a gentle ally in that renewal.
A simple practice: upon waking, pour yourself a glass of fresh water.
Hold it in your hands, pause, and breathe gratitude into it.
Gratitude for your body, for the day ahead, for the waters that sustain all life.
Speak a word, whisper a blessing, or simply rest your heart in thanks.
Then drink slowly, allowing that gratitude to flow through every cell.
As you begin your day this way, you may notice your body softening, your mind settling, and your spirit feeling more connected to the currents of life that hold us all.
Water Healing Journal Prompts
Embodiment:
My body is made mostly of water.
What “currents” do I feel moving within me today?
Where do I sense stillness, flow, or turbulence?
Gratitude:
If I were to thank the waters that sustain me, inside and outside, what words of gratitude would I speak?
Memory & Transmutation:
Water is said to hold memory and respond to intention.
What emotions, thoughts, or patterns in me are ready to be carried away, and what blessings do I wish water to carry deeper into my being?
Circle & Connection:
When I imagine sitting in circle with a bowl of water at the center, what arises in me?
What offering or prayer would I place into that water?
Renewal:
How do I want to feel as I step into today’s waters?
Whether that’s a shower, a sip, a lake dip, or even a moment of rain on my skin?
Integration:
What does it mean to “flow” in my life right now?
Where am I resisting the current, and where am I being carried with grace?
