Lavender Moon is built on the belief that everyone deserves a welcoming, inclusive environment where they can be themselves without judgment. Where spirituality and queer identity can intersect. Where we can fostering meaningful conversations, and deepening into connection with other queer identified people.

Come as you are, bring your unique light, and help us create a community where we can explore the depths of our identities. Together, we'll build connections that shine as brightly as the moon.

Our first gathering features a community potluck, meet and greet and information gathering session to support the creation of future events.

What to Expect

  • Chairs, cushions, mats will be made avalible for sitting

  • Cups, water, tea and coffee will be avaliable

  • A Potluck

  • Structured introductions while eating

  • A bio-break

  • Structued discussion of hopes, desires, intentions, concerns to help create the future Lavender Moon events

What to Bring

  • Please bring an item of food to share with everyone if able

    • Please include an ingredient list to help us accommodate everyone's allergies and dietary restrictions. We'll have markers and paper to help if you forget.

    • If possible, please aim for vegetarian dishes or serve meat in a separate container to help us all have more options. Where possible, put gluten and dairy in separate containers as well

    • Bring anything you like to eat!

  • You may wish to bring a journal and pen if you find it is helpful to keep track of your thoughts, the discussion or anything else

  • You may wish to bring something to place on our communal altar

    • It may be for grounding, to honour yourself or your intentions, or to honour the harvest and the hottest time of year as Summer winds to a close

    • Everyone is welcome to do this, regardless of beliefs or lack thereof

    • We'll have a small altar set up near where we'll gather. The invitation is to place (and later remove) your object with intention, whatever that means to you, and to respect each others' objects by not touching them
