March 2026 Newsletter: 🌙New Moon, New Community Center 🌿

This is a season of so much change.

There have been so many endings: the eclipse corridor closes, Mercury Retrograde ends, and the astrological year is complete.

As well as so many beginnings: New Moon in Pisces, Spring Equinox, and the Sun enters Aries.

And so much death: the nice self, unrealistic perfectionism, defensive projections, rigid attachment styles, repression, and more.

And from death springs forth new life.

For me (Hi, it’s Maggie!), that means the official birth and Grand Opening of The Witch’s Therapist Spiritual Community Center.

It’s a dream I’ve had for years. A dream that now has space thanks to all that had to die.

Located at 609 William Street, we will gather together in community, celebrate how far we have come, and how far we are going.

I am so happy that we all now have a spiritual place to call home.

Village Building Starts with Gathering & Building Relationships

For years, I’ve heard people use “community” to describe any group of more than a few people in the same space.

And for just as long, that’s frustrated me.

Community isn’t just a gathering.

It carries emotional weight: the warmth of a space, the smile of a familiar face, knowing your neighbour’s name.

It’s belonging.

It’s care.

It’s reciprocal relationships.

Too often, leaders say you’re “in community” without actually facilitating it, as if gathering automatically creates connection.

It doesn’t.

Community building is a skill that requires intention and active effort.

It may start with gathering, but it grows through introductions, check-ins, shared experiences, and space for reflection.

It deepens when people have space to speak & feel heard.

When warm cups of tea are shared.

When tears are witnessed.

This isn’t about blaming anyone.

Many of us have inherited ways of gathering that lack relational components, shaped by colonial systems, so many don’t know any better.

And many of us don’t have elders to teach us differently.

That needs to change.

That’s where we hope The Witch’s Therapist Community Center will be different.

We begin with introductions, so you know who you’re journeying with.

We create space for check-ins, so you can see that others may be just as nervous as you are.

We encourage reflection and sharing, because often someone else has felt the same way, and that recognition helps us feel less alone.

Spiritual growth, skill and relationship-building are all challenging, and they’ve often been treated as solitary work.

That’s a myth perpetuated by late-stage capitalism.

But they don’t have to be.

We can do this together.

We just need the courage to show up.

Moving forward, you can always check out our events page for an upcoming list of events happening in-person at 609 William Street or online.

And as always, we have space for those of you who want to connect with us one-on-one.
